WEATHER UPDATE Tropical Storm Colin Degenerates

Tropical Storm Colin a fast moving tropical system has degenerated into a Remnant low pressure area.

The center of the remnants of tropical storm Colin are located near latitude 15.8 north…longitude 53.8 west. The remnants are moving toward the west-northwest near 35
mph…56 km/hr. This motion is expected to continue with a significant decrease in forward speed during the next couple of days. 

On the forecast track, the remnants of Colin are expected to pass to the northeast and north of the Leeward Islands Wednesday and Wednesday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph…65 km/hr with higher gusts. Slow weakening is expected during the next couple of days.

Tropical Storm force winds extend outward up to 35 miles…55 km to the north of the center. 

The Remants of Tropical Storm Colin is not expected to strengthen and will not affect Mexico and the current estimated track is expected to continue.
