Cancun – Riviera Maya Weather Saturday August 4, 2010

Cancun and Riviera Maya Weather for Saturday September 4, 2010 including Puerto Morelos, Playa Del Carmen, Puerto Aventuras, Tulum and the Islands of Cozumel and Isla Mujeres.

Weather Discussion:

Today we are again off to a beautiful day here in the Riviera Maya with Sunny skies and warm temperatures in the morning, last night we had beautiful clear skies, you could see all the stars from the beach and the lights on Cozumel, the day is looking to be quite nice again.  We did have some local shower activity around Cancun and The Riviera Maya but nothing that dampened the day thats for sure.  In the evening as well we had a bit of a shower that delayed 15 minutes the opening of a benefit fashion show but the show did go on and we will have coverage in our next edition.

The remnants of Tropical Storm or Depression Gaston got a little better organized last night but still just something to be observed.  Conditions in the Tropical Atlantic continue to be excellent for Tropical Storm development.  Two very active low pressure systems that moved off the West Africa coast are also to be taken seriously as them move slowly westward.

Conditions in the Tropical Atlantic are VERY FAVORABLE for Development but 4 tropical storms in 11 days I didn’t have to tell you that, did I.  For now 2 more Tropical Waves are moving off the west coast of Africa which without doubt will become named storms in the course of the next couple of days.

Meanwhile if you are in Cancun, The Riviera Maya or the Islands here be sure you get the sunblock on whether you are laying on the Beach, doing a tour or just walking around getting oriented, the sun will be behind clouds from time to time today making you think you don’t need sunblock but you DO. Make sure you hydrate, drink lots of water, and if you are at the pool or on the beach stagger between those beers and cocktails a nice bottle of water. Don’t take the sun for granted, enjoy your vacations.
