This update is to update the overnight weather and forecast for early Wednesday June 16, 2010. Today in the area between Playa Del Carmen and Puerto Morelos there were some isolated thunderstorms. Nothing for sustained periods of time but the brief showers accompanied by thunder and lightning brought on a more humid afternoon and will continue into the overnight.
Here are some photos taken during the afternoon thunderstorms at Xcalacoco Playa Del Carmen.

We are still watching Invest 92L which has not developed as yet but is still expected to. The area of Playa Del Carmen, Cancun and The Rest of The Riviera Maya enjoyed a slight jump in barometric pressure indicating that we will not experience the severe weather here tonight that everyone is talking about.
Temperatures right now are still 84°F and humidity 91° in Playa Del Carmen, the Barometer is 30.05 and steady (up from 29.85 in the morning). Wednesday continues to look great for Cancun, Playa Del Carmen and the Riviera Maya from Playa south to Puerto Aventuras. The Area south of Puerto Aventuras through the Costa Maya and on to Central America can expect everything from sun to severe thunderstorms and rain.
